CSBT-5555 - Double Canister Studs with Cooling Jacket, Debris Catcher, Inboard R-Bush, Ball Bearing pumping ring & Single Row Setscrew Drive

The CSBT-5555 is a Double Cartridge Mechanical Seal, with integral Cooling/Heating jacket, ball bearing and single row setscrew clamp ring (for light-medium duty applications). The seal is specifically for mixers, agitators, and reactors operating in critical process environments. The seal is also offered with a bi-directional pumping ring, that assists the thermal movement of the barrier fluid, even at slow shaft speeds.

Engineered for reliability and efficiency, this innovative rotary seal with resilient stationary faces, features monolithic and hydraulically balanced rotary seal faces, ensuring superior performance under varying pressures and speeds.

  • Double Seal – Provides optimal sealing for high-end, critical process applications and demanding process conditions.
  • Integral Ball Bearing - Supplied with ball bearing, ideal for low-medium shaft load support. Can be supplied without bearing or with heavy duty shaft load carrying bearing.
  • Cooling/Heating Jacket - the highly efficient, innovative thermal jacket ensures heat can be added or removed to the barrier fluid create an ideal environment for seal longevity
  • Hydraulically Balanced Seal Faces – Minimizes wear and enhances seal longevity, reducing maintenance and downtime.
  • API Plan 53/54 Compatibility – Ideal for pressurized barrier fluid systems, ensuring zero process leakage and enhanced safety. Can also be employed in unpressurised Plan 52 barrier systems
  • Debris Well - Catches any seal face wear/particles preventing entry into the process. Particles are removed from the seal via applying vacuum through the Debris Out (DO) orifice.
  • Inboard Restriction Bush - Resilient / floating bush Controls flush media flow rate into equipment. Ideal for Clean in Place (CIP) and Steam in Place (SIP). Bush can be supplied in Carbon or PTFE/GFT material to suit the application.
  • Stainless Steel Wetted Parts – Corrosion-resistant components for long-lasting durability in aggressive chemical and industrial applications.
  • Cartridge Construction – The cartridge design provides easy installation and replacement, reducing assembly time and maintenance complexity.
  • Resilient Mounted Stationary Faces – Provides a modicum of self-aligning to improve seal longevity.
  • Integral Double Lip Seal - Prevents dust and debris collecting around outboard seal faces in top entry applications. Supplied with Drain connection orifice for leak face leakage detection.
  • Single row Setscrew Shaft Clamping - Light duty shaft shafting.
  • Monolithic Seal Faces - Monolithic (one piece) seal faces are the face of choice for high temperature applications over shrink fitted seal faces with differential thermal expansions of the bi-materials.
  • Pumping Ring - Even at slow shaft speeds, the integral pumping ring helps to assist the natural thermospyhon effect, promoting heat removal at the seal faces. Cooler seal faces increase seal longevity and performance.
