LBBS-5000 - Labyrinth Seal Top Entry Bearing Protector Stainless-Phos.Bronze

The LBBS-5000 is a high performance Top Entry Labyrinth Seal, certified to IP55 and IP66; the standard for the protection of rotating equipment bearing chambers.

This Top Entry bearing seal will fit small x-sectional spaces, typically where lip seals or oil seals have previously been employed. It is specifically designed for top entry equipment applications, with primary design focus on repelling water ingress due to rain/gravity or equipment washdown.

Our LBBS-5000 labyrinth seal design is also designed for equipment with increased axial clearance in the bearings. Tilting pad bearings, employed in mixing equipment (for example), typically have increased clearances. The LBBS-5000 can accommodate up to +/- 0.64mm (+/-0.025") axial movement, and is offered as a complete cartridge solution that installed into the rotating equipment in a similar way to a lip or oil seal.
