NMCS-2700 - Non-Metallic Canister Studs Single seal with cooled stat seal face, taper ring drive, integral ball bearing and outboard double lip seals for Reactors

The NMCS-2700 is a Non-Metallic Canister Single Mechanical Seal, with taper ring drive and a cooled stationary seal face. The seal is externally mounted and designed specifically for mixers, agitators, and reactors operating in critical process environments.

Engineered for reliability and efficiency, this seal features non-metallic wetted parts with monolithic, hydraulically balanced seal faces, ensuring superior performance under varying pressures and speeds.

Designed for API Plan 52, 62, 65A, 65B and 66 systems, the NMCS-2700 delivers enhanced safety, extended seal life, and reliable performance, making it the ideal choice for high-performance mixing and reaction equipment.

Key Features:

  • Single Canister Design – Provides a rotary inboard seal running against a clamped L-Shaped Stationary, with springs out of the product media.
  • Non-Metallic Wetted Parts - Ideal solution for reactors and vessels containing highly corrosive liquids and gases. Seal is supplied with a glass (enamel) lined flange to the dimensions of DIN 28-159 (where applicable)
  • Cooled Stat Seal Face - Directly removes heat from the stationary seal face for increased sealing performance in high temperature applications. Can also be used to add heat to the seal faces for cryogenic / cold applications.
  • Taper Ring Shaft Clamping - Heavy Duty shaft shafting.
  • Externally Mounted - The cannister design allows for the seal to be installed direct to an equipment plate without the need for a stuffing box/seal chamber.
  • Integral Ball Bearing - Supplied with ball bearing, ideal for low-medium shaft load support. Can be supplied without bearing or with heavy duty shaft load carrying bearing.
  • Hydraulically Balanced Seal Faces – Minimizes wear and enhances seal longevity, reducing maintenance and downtime.
  • API Plan 52/62/65/66 Compatibility – Ideal for un-pressurized buffer fluid systems, helping to reduce process leakage with enhanced safety.
  • Studded Canister Construction – The canister single seal provides easy installation and replacement, reducing assembly time and maintenance complexity.
  • Integral Double Lip Seal - Prevents dust and debris collecting around outboard seal faces in top entry applications. Supplied with Drain connection orifice for leak face leakage detection.
  • Monolithic Seal Faces - Monolithic (one piece) seal faces are the face of choice for high temperature applications over shrink fitted seal faces with differential thermal expansions of the bi-materials.
  • Single Row Setscrew Clamp Ring - for light-medium seal to shaft drive.
